1994 to 1995
After a month's broadcasting experience (teaming nightshifts with pretty much every other slot you could think of) with Kix FM on Teesside I was asked to take on a presenter role at Wear FM in Sunderland.
The nightbeat strand mixed three decades of music with a reasonable amount of speech and community information. And I managed to combine the show with finishing off my A-levels.
When the station moved to an overnight sustaining service I was retained in the schedule to provide weekend lates until the station changed hands and became Sun City 103.4 in 1995.
